NEIGHBORHOOD UPDATES

Gutters: Many homes on the East side of the community that line the Dorothy Fuqua Center and Buford Hwy are scheduled to have gutter guards installed by the second week of August 2022. If any other home gutters are full, please report to management and HOA. It is imperative we try and eliminate gutter clutter and prevent leaks.

Tree Services: Tree Cutting Services will commence around the community by Boutte Tree Company on July 21, 2022.

Entrance Gate: You may notice there is a new sign posted on the brick wall prior to entering the gate (see photo below). Due to an overwhelming amount of damage and repairs to the gate from service, moving, and delivery vehicles, we are insisting on a “left turn only upon entering the gate”. This will help prevent future damage to our gate.

Parking: No blocking of driveways, mailboxes or fire lanes at ANY TIME

No overnight parking (new restrictions and photo below)

Ticketing and towing will be enforced.

Q: If I have overnight guests or guests visiting late who should I contact to ensure the vehicle isn’t ticketed or towed?

A: Overnight parking on the street is not allowed in Buckhead Place per the BP Covenants. We have had many inquiries regarding what hours consist of overnight, so new signs are posted around the neighborhood for direction and clarity. As a reminder, there is NO OVERNIGHT PARKING on streets from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. daily. Homeowners are allotted 4 spots within their property. Should you need to park your vehicle or a guest’s vehicle on the street overnight, approval MUST be made by Management and HOA. Vehicles illegally parked will be towed at the owner’s expense. No exceptions. If a car is in violation, homeowners have the right to call and tow. A Tow Atlanta Inc 404-577-8950

Repair requests: It has come to the attention of the Board that many homeowners have been making direct requests for maintenance and repairs to our current Management Company’s (HMS) project manager via email. You may or may not be aware but all maintenance and repair requests MUST be submitted online. To ensure your repair requests are received please visit hms.inc.net, sign in, drag your cursor to The Association and open Report an Issue. Please fill in all fields to ensure proper and complete submission. The board has been aggressively taking care of maintenance requests that were provided to us by HMS. If you have a repair that has not been addressed, please follow the steps above as it may have been misplaced and not uploaded properly.

How do I know if a repair is my responsibility or the HOA’s? We have listed the Buckhead Place Responsibility chart below for your reference.

Link will go here

Repairs completed: You may have noticed a contractor and scaffold on the premises May and June of this year. We have completed repairs on 14 homes to date.

Landscaping: End of spring/summer installation of pine straw, mulch and flowers have been installed.

Water leaks: As you may or may not have been aware we had an emergency water shut off on Saturday June 25th. We have been experiencing several ongoing piping issues around the community. In an effort to reduce overlooked circumstances we’d appreciate your diligence in taking a moment to inspect in and around your home to help identify any potential issues.

ANNUAL MEETING

The Buckhead Place annual meeting is held each December and is an opportunity to meet your neighbors along with reviewing items of importance to the community including:

Budget review |Community projects |Election of Board of Directors |Committee volunteers.

We will be sending a reminder a month prior to ensure all residents are given ample notice to participate. The HOA bylaws require that votes at annual meetings be passed by a quorum of members; ATTENDANCE IS NEEDED to vote on community matters.
